So now it is winter 2021 and I want green hair for the holidays. Now this time the scent was barely there and not at all perfumy, more light and fruity. Color payoff was not as strong as I thought it would be.

Fast forward a year plus later maybe two years and something possessed me to buy a tub of smokey navy to add to the blue my hair was at the time. The main issue was the scent, it was so strong and perfumy I swore I would never use it again. The color payoff was good for grey on not completely platinum hair. The first time I bought the slate grey and smokey purple. Now before I go completely praising Lunar Tides this is my third time trying it. However I have never used Arctic Fox, so I have no basis for comparison. My hair is currently colored with Lunar Tides Juniper Green and it is the best green I have seen. TLDR I'm considering switching brands from arctic fox to Lunar tides but mixed reviews have me apprehensive.

It takes about 1.5 jars for me to get all of my hair - if there were a larger bottle option that would be more cost-effective and less wasteful. Literally the only possible "complaint" I have is that there aren't different sizes of containers. I have my next bottles ready, I will probably redye at the 1-year mark in a couple of weeks, but I am just enjoying seeing how this dye fades - which is very, very slowly. I first touched up my green with Lunar Tides almost a year ago (), and today (), it is only as faded as Arctic Fox would normally get in a matter of 3-4 months. But the best part? THIS IS THE LONGEST-LASTING SEMI-PERMANENT DYE I HAVE EVER USED. The "Juniper green" color is exactly the color I wanted - no more mixing! Additionally, the hair dye smells great, instructions are straightforward, and bottle design & website are aesthetically pleasing. Secondly, until Lunar Tides, I had to mix green and black dyes to get the color I wanted. First, not putting the hair dye in a squeeze bottle where it's impossible to get all of the dye out is a MAJOR improvement over the brand I used before (what were they thinking?!). I switched from Arctic Fox after getting a recommendation from a friend. This is the best hair dye I've ever tried, and I've tried a lot of them, lol.
